My very first time on a steam train. Wonderful experience, i must say
We were told that the traditional way when riding the puffing billy is to dangle/hang your legs out of the carriage windows as seen. Interesting.
I don't know why but this reminds me very much of the hogwarts express for some reason. hmm.
We came across some students along the way and everyone started exchanging greetings a lil too excitedly(through some severe screaming and shoutings). It was quite a wonderful sight though. hahahaaha.
these white parrots(cockatoo) were pretty aggressive. and heavy. when the fourth one landed on me, apparently I couldn't withstand the weight so I ran off. LOL.
here's a failed self shot of me with a cockatoo. and wow, the rain really messed up my hair
Award winning pies. I thought they were just alright. okay, maybe they were a little above average for me. However, my mum and brother think otherwise. They were full of praises for these pies- the pies were said to be divine.
We tried quite a few pies- tandoori chicken, beef burgundy, plain aussie, spinach and fetta. and we had some apple strudels for dessert afterwhich. hahaha we are such a glutty family.
We found a very pretty shop that sells vintage-y furniture being tucked away quietly at one of the back alleys. However, brandon said it really looks like medusa's statue garden LOL.
Everything is so lovely here
And we came across an old school candy store. Of course, i HAVE to go in and take a look.
The famous devonshire tea and scones
Kangaroo! So cute! The last time I fed a kangaroo was more than 10 years back when I was in Perth. Nostalgic much.
and a random iphone picture taken by my brother. I really like this pic.
Look what came out from this amazing chocolate machine. We made our very own strawberry and vegemite flavoured chocolate out of it. weird flavour, i know.
